About the Role

ANR Media is a leading custom home cinema and audiovisual installation company known for delivering high-end, turnkey room builds that combine stunning design, precision lighting, and immersive sound.

We’re looking for a skilled Senior Shopfitting & Paneling Technician to join our growing production and installation team. This individual will take a hands-on leadership role in the manufacture and installation of wall paneling, bulkheads, LED lighting, basic room construction, and upholstery finishing — helping bring premium cinema rooms to life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manufacture and install wall paneling, acoustic panels, and bulkheads with precision.

  • Install LED and bulkhead lighting systems to specification.

  • Assist with basic room builds, from framing and boarding to finishing.

  • Work with upholstery and trimming for cinema seating and interior finishes.

  • Read and interpret technical drawings and plans.

  • Ensure all installations meet safety and quality standards.

  • Support and mentor junior team members during installations.

  • Collaborate with project managers to meet deadlines and maintain workflow efficiency.

  • Occasionally assist with audio-visual and lighting system installations, especially LED and control setups.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3–5 years experience in shopfitting, interior fit-outs, or carpentry/manufacturing.

  • Proven ability to install lighting, especially LED and bulkhead systems.

  • Competence in panel fabrication, room finishing, and on-site assembly.

  • Electrical certification (required) — especially relevant to LED and low-voltage installations.

  • Advantage: Experience with audio-visual equipment setup or integration.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

  • Able to work efficiently within a team while taking initiative and ownership of assigned tasks.

  • Good communication and leadership skills — you’ll function as a senior team member.

  • Must be able to travel to sites within Johannesburg and occasionally other regions.

What We Offer

  • Competitive, experience-based salary.

  • Opportunity to work on premium cinema room projects and high-end residential builds.

  • Career growth within a rapidly expanding company.

  • Collaborative, professional work environment.

  • Exposure to cutting-edge lighting and audiovisual technology.

Ideal Candidate Profile

You’re an experienced hands-on technician who takes pride in precision and craftsmanship. You have the technical know-how of a shopfitter, the problem-solving ability of a builder, and the eye for detail of a designer. You work well in a team, can guide others on site, and thrive on creating beautiful, functional spaces that impress clients.
